Testimonials ...
"An experienced and upfront professional."
As first-time home buyers, we find Christina very comfortable to work with. She genuinely respects your budget and wish list, and is patient and never pushy. She always responds in a timely manner and gives honest opinions on properties. Christina is probably among the very few realtors that would steer buyers away from certain properties, even if it meant a delayed or potential loss of commission. My husband and I started looking for our first home on the Monterey Peninsula in August 2008. We wanted a 3 Beds/2 Baths single family house in either Old Monterey, the Oak Grove neighborhood or Pacific Grove. Our preference was to live in a quiet, walkable place close to the beach or downtown. We knew it was a good time to buy, but weren't exactly familiar with the local market and didn't know what kind of property our budget could get us. Christina must have shown us more than 30 houses during our hunt. We made multiple offers, and I am happy to say the one that succeeded is the best among them all. We closed in June 2009, moving into a spacious 2 Beds/2 Baths cottage (with potential for easy expansion) in Carmel by the Sea-- which Christina spotted on a broker tour. I especially appreciate her effort in arranging reputable contractors for the home inspection and repair bids. We are working on the house right now, and her recommendations not only offer peace of mind, but also save us a great deal of time and energy. Being a buyer is not always fun, even in a down market. When we were discouraged, Christina remains positive and upbeat, reassuring us the right house would eventually pop up. And it did. I want to thank Christina, and her partner Courtney for their tireless and friendly assistance. And I will not hesitate to refer them to my family and friends.

Selling Your Home >Child Proof Before Showing
As you prepare your home for the market, keep in mind that some of the people who will look at your home may bring along small children. Families with children may be looking for a larger home with more bedrooms and a bigger yard.
Prospective buyers will be accompanied by a real estate agent while touring your home, but that doesn't guarantee that the children will be supervised the entire time they are in your home. Every real estate agent has a story of a little person grabbing a Steuben apple from a low shelf, or of a toddler running full speed to the edge of a high deck.
Preparing your home to show involves common sense, such as removing sharp or breakable objects from low shelves and making sure that electric appliances don't have dangling cords that little hands can reach. If there is a possibility of falling from a porch or deck, place a visible note advising parents to supervise small children. Some sellers keep a few toys around to entertain young house hunters while their parents are looking at the home.
